PROCLAIM PROFESSIONAL CARE INTENSE MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO

Although the Proclaim Argan Oil  Intense Hydrating Mask is delicious and a real treat for my hair, the shampoo from the same line leaves much to be desired. This shampoo did not give my hair that "yucky squeaky clean " feeling, but it did  NOT  leave my hair moisturized. Claims of this product are that it will leave your hair clean , soft, and moisturized. In my experience ,it did only 1 out of the three~ it left my hair clean. Was it the worst shampoo that I have ever tried? No. But it will not be a repurchase. In order to combat that weird and wiry feeling that it gave my hair, I added 2 tsp of olive oil directly into the shampoo bottle. This product is available at Sally's Beauty Supply for the price of $6.99. ($6.29 if you have a Sally's Membership Card.)
It gets a 3 out of 5 stars.

MY HAIR STORY

This has been a wonderful and exciting journey. My journey with my natural hair began almost 3.5 years ago. My journey was fueled out of sheer desperation. After years of relaxers ,  my hair had begun to show the signs of extreme damage. The top portion of my hair was so thin that I had begun to look for ways to disguise my scalp . My scalp was clearly visible through my thin strands. Not knowing anything else to do I began to wear   pony tail pieces. That was my choice for what I know realize was the beginning of my transition. I wore "phony ponies" for nearly 1 year. I never did a full " big chop" , but I  would cut an inch of hair at a time. During that time my thought was  to simply 'cut it all out". It took about 9 months before I was relaxer free.  I had no idea what was to come after "it " was all gone.
I had no idea that I would begin this wondrous journey of self acceptance. I had no idea that out of my scalp grew this glorious coif that I completely adore.
